More about me
I’m a native Washingtonian and a proud graduate of Centralia High School, Class of 1997. After high school, I attended Concordia University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I was then admitted to Arizona State University’s School of Law. At the same time, I was newly married, and my husband was playing minor league baseball, chasing the dream of one day getting called up to the Big Leagues. I decided to defer law school for a year to see where that dream might take us… and the rest is history!
We spent 14 years raising our family and exploring this beautiful country, thanks to my husband’s incredible career in Major League Baseball. From the Arizona Diamondbacks to the historic New York Yankees, with stops in Toronto and Milwaukee along the way, it was an unforgettable journey. During those years, we welcomed five of our six children, had the opportunity to homeschool, and truly appreciated the cultural richness of all corners of the U.S.
When it came time to retire from baseball, we were intentional about choosing the right place to settle down. We felt called back to our Northwest roots and sought out a community with a small-town feel and strong values. We found that in Tumwater—a place that rallies around families, celebrates its athletic teams and coaches, and shows a generous spirit in support of schools, teachers, and students. Since moving here, my husband has taken on the role of head baseball coach at Tumwater High School, and we’ve had two sons graduate from THS.
In my spare time, I love to exercise, travel, volunteer with local kids’ activities and schools, read and spend time with my amazing family!
